Autosatmover – Design as a Bridge Between Engineering and Vision
Autosatmover is much more than an automatic pallet storage system: it is a concentration of technology that silently works to optimize production and logistics flows for companies worldwide. A modular and versatile product, capable of adapting to different sectors – including the food industry – designed to ensure efficiency, reliability, and continuous operation.
But behind such technological intelligence lay a challenge: how to transform an engineering masterpiece into an object with a clear, modern, and recognizable design language?

But behind such technological intelligence lay a challenge: how to transform an engineering masterpiece into an object with a clear, modern, and recognizable design language?
The Challenge of the Redesign
When Automha asked our studio to redesign Autosatmover, we immediately understood that this was not simply an aesthetic exercise. The heart of the system – made of motors, electronics, rails, and connections – left very little room for formal imagination. Every component has a precise and indispensable function, and the act of “designing” meant finding a delicate balance between engineering and visual language.
The true challenge was to make the form of the product contemporary while housing all of its internal intelligence, without compromising performance. We worked on volumes, proportions, and surfaces to give the system an identity that communicates innovation, efficiency, and strength. Every line was designed to tell the story of advanced technology while making Autosatmover instantly recognizable as an expression of evolved design.
The Value of Design
In this project, design was not a superficial layer, but a language able to translate complexity into clarity. A gesture that allowed the product to fully express its deepest nature: to be an advanced industrial tool, yet elegant in the way it performs its function.

The result of this design journey led Autosatmover to receive the Honorable Mention at the Compasso d’Oro – International Award, in the Design for Food Distribution category.
